Day 12 Hindley to Morecambe - Half Way!!

View from the Coaching House Hotel, last night's accommodation.
Once more into the fray!
A lovely canal ride through Wigan, met cycling enthusiast Joe, interesting chat!
Some tricky manoeuvring through the motorcycle-proof barriers culminated in a gaffer tape repair situation for Bill's mudguard.
Hurray, Lancashire! Nice to be welcomed...
An armada of Canada geese, seen throughout the journey.
Away from the canals, and through more sunny glades.
Crossing the Ribble at Preston, met Alison, ex-Ferranti, still with good Scottish accent after many years.
Another lucky find, another in-park cafe, in Preston, good ice-cream.
Celebrated the halfway point with Graeme and daughter Hope at The Sparling in Barton, great sandwiches! Neal Tripp the owner kindly donated to our cause, and knows Hayling well.
Dinner at the The Fayre and Square in Morecambe, including Bill's Pie of Two Halves, which actually defeated him... A first for this trip!
