Day 10 Kidderminster to Stoke on Trent - Route Canal Treatment

Today - harder than it looked! After being well looked after at the Park Lane Travelodge in Kidderminster by Karen we set out on the day of canals...
Never has the route to Birmingham looked so idyllic.
Briefly away from the canal, a confirmation of Staffordshire, real Black Country.
A brief switch from canal to rail brought the benefit of a coffee and missing the rain storm - thanks Mr Beeching!
Very varied surfaces throughout the day, from gravel to porridge and back again...
Bridge over the River Stour, needs a lick of paint!

The Kaffeine cafe in Penkridge for a lock-in lunch, just made it before closing time, thanks to the understanding staff.
A welcome relief - the flattest, straightest, most bumpless surface all day!
Our spirits were further lifted by the cows drinking at the canal trough.
Finally, Stoke on Trent!
Putting the bikes to bed for the night...
